• Email address (required): Collected when an admin or customer account is created so we can authenticate the user and send essential service communications.
• Password (required): Managed through Clerk. Passwords are never stored in plain text; Clerk hashes and safeguards them using industry-standard practices. FeatureBee never sees or stores the raw password value.

We do not intentionally collect any other personal data at this time. If you submit additional information through support channels or custom fields, it will be processed solely to address your request.

2. How We Use Personal Data

• Authenticate admins and customers so they can access the dashboard and roadmap.
• Provide access control for projects stored in Convex.
• Send necessary transactional emails (for example, account-related notifications).
• Prevent fraud or misuse of the platform and maintain overall security.

We do not sell personal data or use it for advertising or profiling.

3. Data Storage and Security

• Clerk stores authentication credentials (email, password hash, session tokens) on our behalf and provides secure sign-in flows.
• Convex stores project data tied to the authenticated user ID that Clerk provides.
• Access to both services is limited to authorized personnel. We use encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for all data in transit.
• Passwords are hashed by Clerk; FeatureBee never stores them in the application database.

4. Legal Bases for Processing

Depending on your location, we rely on one or more of the following legal bases:

• Contractual necessity: Processing is required to create and maintain your account and provide the service you requested.
• Legitimate interests: To secure the service, prevent abuse, and improve reliability.

5. Data Sharing and Subprocessors

We share personal data only with trusted service providers that help us operate FeatureBee:

• Clerk, Inc. (authentication platform)
• Convex.dev Inc. (backend data platform)

These providers act as processors, handle data only on our instructions, and implement industry-standard security controls. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public.

6. Data Retention

• Account data (email and password hash) is kept as long as your FeatureBee account remains active.
• If you delete your account or request erasure, we will remove or anonymize personal data unless we must retain it to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce agreements.

7. International Data Transfers

Clerk and Convex may store data in the United States or other jurisdictions. When data leaves your home country, we rely on standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards to protect it.

• Request deletion or anonymization of your data.
